Poria cocos is the dried sclerotia of Poria cocos (Schw.) Wolf, a fungus of the family Poria cocos (Schw.). It is parasitized on the rhizomes of Pinus pine or Masson pine, buried in the soil for 20~30 cm to multiply. The inner part of the Poria nucleus is Bai Poria, the outer part is Poria bark, and the sclerotium with pine roots is Poria. Poria are fungi of the Polyporaceae family.
